Continuing to trust God, thanking Him for our many blessings…

If you are a regular reader, you know we are currently living in the St. Louis area after or move from East Texas in March.  We decided to rent a house at that time.  Not knowing the area, neighborhoods, schools, etc, we thought it best to rent until we determined where we wanted to live.  Well, it turns out we LOVE the area  of our rent house. It is just minutes from our new church, shopping, great schools, etc.  So, we found our new home just 2 minutes from our current rent house.

The home is new construction- so we have the benefit of a new home without having to go through the hassle of the build.  Sorry for the people who initially had the custom home- apparently their contract fell through, leaving the custom home and the builder wanted to sell it quickly.  That meant we were able to get a very good deal.  Oh, and I can’t wait til you see my new kitchen.  I am so excited to cook in it!  Woo hoo! God is so good.

We closed on the house yesterday evening.  We have the rent house until the end of August.  So, we don’t have to rush and move soon.  We can do a few other things at the new home before moving into our home.  We have a deck to build, ceiling fans to hang, blinds and shutters to place.  You get the idea.  We can get that done and slowly move over to the new home.  We are excited to have our final home.  I think it will all feel real and permanent once we are in our home – no more rentals – no more moves …. Lord willing.

The past 3  1/2 years have been an interesting journey.  We feel so blessed.  God has kept us in the palm of His hand, leading us and providing for us.  I am not going to tell you it has been easy.  Oh no.  Moving from Texas, to Chicago, to Texas, and to St Louis in a 6 month period was difficult.  However, we continued to trust God, knowing His plan is perfect.  We never would have thought we would be in this position, buying a beautiful new home, new city, new church, new friends.  God’s ways are not our ways.  Praise God!

I will put my trust in Him. Hebrews 2:13
