My Tea Shelf – Product Review

Disclaimer: I received this box of loose leaf tea free.  The opinions provided in this review are my own and were not influenced in any way.  I did not receive any monetary compensation for this review.

Are you a tea drinker?  I am not an expert of teas.  I rarely drink tea, or purchase specialty teas.  However, I am so glad I recently received this particular product from My Tea Shelf.  The company, based in Seattle, is owned, operated and run by one woman with a mission:

“Made with real fruit and herbs, I focus on exotic teas from my Latin American background. By combining pure ingredients with medicinal herbs what you get are teas that do a body good. Almost all my herbs and teas are organic, many are fair trade and all the bags I use are compostable. You won’t find artificial flavors or packaging that could hurt the Earth anywhere near My Tea Shelf.”

She packages each tea and stamps the boxes herself.

When I opened my Loose Leaf Tea Sampler, the smell of herbs, fruit, and spices were fragrant and truly beautiful. All of the teas in my sample are caffeine- free.  I really like knowing I will not be adding caffeine to diet.  These are loose leaf teas, so you will need an tea infuser to make your tea.  Each sampler makes 4 cups of tea, giving me a total of 20 cups of tea.  Yippy!

I have not tried all the teas, yet.  I have, however, enjoyed two already – Pineapple Ginger and Andes Breeze.  Thanks to My Tea Shelf, I think I have become a tea drinker and am looking forward to my next pot of tea.  I think I will try the Cidron Berry tea, next.  Here are the ingredients of Cidron Berry: lemon, verbena, blackberry leaf, organic peppermint, raspberries, panela and vanilla.  Doesn’t that sound wonderful?

The website is well designed and easy to use.  As well as teas, you can find skin care products as well.  I think My Tea Shelf seems to have very good, high quality products.  Check the site out for yourself and see what you think.
