Kristen, at We are THAT Family blog, shared this video today. I am not sure how you can watch this video and NOT feel the need INTENSE DESIRE to do something.

It has changed me! As of this afternoon, we are the sponsors of a precious little girl, Elias Solomon from Ethiopia.    She  is only 1 month older than my own daughter, Grace- 3 years old .  I saw her picture and was overcome.  She is my daughter’s age!!  My daughter has everything.   This child has nothing.  My daughter is a precious child of God.  Little Elias is also a child of God.  Doesn’t she deserve to live a life full of joy, love, happiness and the knowledge of who she is in Christ?

I will share of picture of her, when I can.

This is an amazing program. Hubs and I have been sponsoring two children for years. I love getting their letters. Last week we got an updated picture of the youngest. She is getting so big! Absolutely amazing that we can directly touch a child’s life who is across the planet and show them the love of Jesus Christ. Try to write her letters, they really do love it. Have a blessed weekend!

Oh by the way. If you want to see the long term effects of your sponsorship check out this video. I warn you, you will need a box of tissues!

Did you know that Compassion does a bi-annual bloggers trip for people who support & blog about Compassion? Shaun Groves (from Tyler) is in charge of the whole deal. Want me to put you in touch? I actually grew up with him at my childhood church & while we’re not exactly “tight”, we do talk through FB & his blog now & then.
