Giving Thanks…

by Lisa on November 24, 2010

I am so thankful for all the blessings God has bestowed on my family over the past year.  One year ago, we were packing up a few things and moving to a temporary home in the Chicago area.  Who knew that one year later we would be settled in our new home, in the St. Louis Missouri area?  Well, I know who… God.  His plans are not our plans.  His ways are not our ways…. thank goodness for that.  His plans are so much better than we could ever dream.

We have a beautiful home, incredible church family, many new friends, a stable job for my husband, ministry opportunities we never had before – through our church….

The list could go on and on.  We are so thankful.

1 Chronicles 16:34

34 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
his love endures forever.

Psalm 7:17

17 I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness;
I will sing the praises of the name of the LORD Most High.

Psalm 107:8

8 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for mankind,

Revelation 11:17

17 saying:

“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
the One who is and who was,
because you have taken your great power
and have begun to reign.

1 Corinthians 15:57

57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I will give thanks to my God.  His love endures for ever.  He has been so gracious to me and my family.  What more can I do but praise my Lord!

Praying blessings over you and your family during this time of thanksgiving.

I am so thankful for YOU! What a year, or should I say few years. It has been so encouraging to watch God lead you and Chris… thank you for your witness.

I love you!

I was just thinking about you & how far you’ve come (literally & spiritually) in the past year. I know you enjoyed the fun of the winter wonderland last Thanksgiving, so do you miss the snow & ice this year?
