I am so excited to share what I know about eMeals with my readers. Are you familiar with this menu planning website? eMeals is easy meals for frugal families. My husband and I went through the Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, just ending it two weeks ago. With this program, we began to look at how much we actually spent on groceries, weekly, and how we could dramatically decrease our spending in this area. My sweet sister in law, Steph, had been encouraging me for a while to try the site. Her family of five had been benefiting from the menu plans for about nine months. I could not believe how much money she was saving on her grocery bill! That is when I turned to eMeals.
I know you are wondering what it is all about, so here is the general info:
eMeals relies on a team of experienced meal planners, writers and editors to create new dinner menus every week that are designed around grocery store sales, seasonal specials and diet preferences.
For as low as $5.00 per month, subscribers download a recipe plan for the week with a matching aisle-by-aisle grocery list. The easy-to-follow recipes usually contain fewer than seven ingredients to allow for prep times of less than 30 minutes. It also helps families stay within a predictable budget by being prepared with a detailed list to use at the grocery store.
The eMeals program has over 30 meal plan options to choose from and provides a consistent and reliable approach to food budgeting by factoring the weekly cost of ingredients into each menu plan.

I have been using eMeals for over two months and love it so much I paid for a year subscription! Here is how it works for me. I was able to choose the Walmart meal planner. With this plan, I receive weekly meal plans for Walmart which correspond with weekly sales. I download the meal plan with a shopping list which are compiled aisle to aisle for ease of use and making my trip to the store more efficient-always great since my 4 1/2 year old is usually with me.
I have to be honest, before eMeals, I was not good at making menu plans and therefore was wasting time and money with each grocery visit! Now I plan for two weeks at a time, using the two latest meal plans. I then compile my shopping list and hit Walmart. I only shop every two weeks and am saving at least $200 each month, if not more. AWESOME! Finally, the recipes are easy and quick to make, they are new for my family, thus getting us out of the dinner rut.

Thanks for the opportunity to win this. I would definitely choose low carb Walmart plan.
I would also like to add that we keep the menus in a binder and I write notes next to them like “good for company” or “good for potluck”. And I highlight the meals my family loves. Before we started using emeals, I couldn’t get my family to try anything new. Now they can’t wait to see what I am making for dinner! And the most wonderful thing to hear at my dinner table is, “This one gets a highlighter!”
Good tip, Steph! Thanks!
