Oh this cake is sooooo wonderful. This recipe makes an extremely moist cake and takes CHOCOLATE to the extreme. I have used this recipe for years. But, this weekend I changed it up and found a new favorite. Instead of using a German Chocolate cake mix, I used a Dark Chocolate cake mix. I am not always able to find a dark chocolate cake mix, but Pillsbury does make a Moist Supreme Dark Chocolate cake mix. It is awesome! I needed to take a dessert to our annual church business meeting. I wanted to make something yummy, but was tired and not wanting to put much time and effort into the cake. (Mainly because it was late and I forgot I needed to bake something. LOL!) If you are still trying to come up with an easy and awesome dessert to share this Thanksgiving – you must try this.
Ultimate Dark Chocolate Cake
Preheat oven to 350. Combine box cake mix, pudding, eggs, oil, water, and sugar. Blend well with a mixer. Fold in sour cream and chocolate chips. Bake in greased bundt pan at 350 degrees for 50 minutes to one hour. Remove cake from oven and allow cake to cool. I usually sprinkle powder sugar on top, just to make it “pretty”. But, it does not need it to taste good. The cake stands alone. Enjoy!
